PRODUCTION & ENGINEERING

I have long been fascinated with audio production. In college, I studied radio broadcasting and became enthralled by the process. I learned how to splice tape and edit broadcasts for the local NPR station. In my downtime, my roommate and I would produce covers of Talking Heads songs.

In the early 90’s, I first bought a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder and began recording original songs. I later graduated to a 16-track digital Tascam. I eventually sold this to a friend when it became clear that a computer and a DAW would be all I needed. Over time, I have built a modest home studio. I have recorded most of my last three albums there.

I also enjoy recording other artists. One such artist is Clare Byrne and The Celestials. Here are a couple of songs I have produced and recorded for her.
